The murder of justice, 1988.

A play in four acts (photocopy of a typewritten manuscript) about Judge George Edward Haynsworth of Sumter (S.C.), who as a Citadel cadet fired on the U.S. ship Star of the West in Charleston harbor on April 11, 1861 and later became an attorney and trial justice in Sumter County. The play chronicles the events leading up to a courtroom gunfight between the feuding Bowman and Keels families during which Haynesworth was mortally wounded.
